Zack Cart Music Lessons
Zack Cart is a solo guitarist, private Music Theory and Guitar Technique instructor, and aspiring composer. In his guitar works, he plays a blend of Flamenco, Modern Classical, and Jazz, although rock, American folk, and many other genres occasionally edge into his melding of pre-composed and improvised music. His compositions tend toward the 20th and 21st century classical lineages, utilizing both traditional and original instrumentations, from chamber quintets and symphony orchestras, to highly original organizations, as in his setting of the lengthy love poem Amidst the Swirling Blades, for choir, brass quartet, mixed classical and electric guitar quartet, and five percussionists. Currently finishing up a degree in Contemporary Music Composition at the University of Maine at Augusta, he hopes to become a staple of the music community, playing, composing, and above all teaching music to those who would learn it.
